My Loved Ones

Many years have come and gone
Since my husband left us behind
And time has lessened the pain
And given me peace of mind

It is hard at first to go through
and all you know is the pain
No one can help you understand
Unless they've been through the same

But now I can truthfully say
That my life is really complete
I don't need a man to make it so
I have my Lord and in him I sleep

When I think of my husband and dad
I see them happy and free
I see them in a heavenly place
Where someday I will be

If you have lost a loved one
And feel so all alone and blue
Just keep in mind how happy they are
And it will help to get you through

Tho your nights can be lonely
And the days seem so long
But time will heal your pain
And you will find you are strong

If you find the road too rocky
And the pain gets too bad
Just reach out for Jesus
He's the best friend you have

So when your loved ones leave you
And go to a far better place than here
Let them go with the knowledge
That you'll be together again in a new hemisphere
